Ilorin Youths Endorse Yakubu Danladi for Kwara Governorship

The Ilorin Emirate Youths have publicly endorsed Hon. Yakubu Danladi Salihu as the governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara North for the 2027 elections.

This endorsement was announced during a joint press conference organized by the Ilorin Emirate Youth Progress Commun. Spokesman Abdulwahe Olamilekan stated that the group believes Salihu's candidacy represents a moral obligation to ensure fairness and justice in political representation, as Kwara North has not produced a governor since the return to democratic rule in 1999.

The youth group highlighted the importance of political balance, noting that Kwara Central and Kwara South have previously produced governors. They described Salihu's aspiration as a legitimate quest for inclusion and unity among the state's diverse communities.

The group also emphasized Salihu's credentials, including his experience as a former lecturer and Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, and urged APC leaders and stakeholders to support his candidacy to ensure Kwara North produces the next governor in 2027.
