Adelabu Confirms Commitment Amid Resignation Rumors

Adebayo Adelabu, the current Minister of Power, has publicly stated that he remains committed to his ministerial role and has not resigned, contrary to rumors circulating on social media. During a conversation on Channel Television, he addressed claims regarding a resignation letter dated March 26, 2026, which he described as fake.

Bolaji Tunji, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Power, also dismissed these reports, urging the public to refrain from spreading false information. Adelabu confirmed that he had submitted a special advisory strategy to President Bola Tinubu but has not taken any steps to resign from his cabinet position.

He reiterated his intention to contest for the Oyo State governorship seat in the upcoming 2027 elections while maintaining his responsibilities as a minister.
