Terver Akas, in response to speculation circulating on social media regarding his potential candidacy for the Benue North West senatorial seat. Ortom emphasized that he has no intention of seeking election to any office in 2027, a message he has reiterated publicly to avoid any misinterpretation.

He urged the public to disregard the reports suggesting otherwise, which he described as fabrications. Ortom's focus remains on promoting democratic values and strengthening the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rather than pursuing electoral ambitions.
