MC Oluomo Affirms NURTW Presidency Amid Legal Dispute

Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, widely known as MC Oluomo, has declared that he remains the President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) despite recent developments involving the union's national headquarters. This statement follows reports that Tajudeen Baruwa has taken control of the NURTW national secretariat, citing a court ruling that he believes validates his position.

MC Oluomo dismissed Baruwa's actions as unlawful and premature, emphasizing that the leadership dispute is still under legal review and has not concluded. He shared his stance on Instagram, stating that the court's decision does not directly involve him and therefore cannot be used to remove him from office.

He urged union members to remain calm and avoid actions that could escalate tensions across motor parks nationwide, noting that security agencies are already monitoring the situation to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
