Wike Claims to Be Nigeria's Second Most Abused Politician

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), expressed his grievances regarding the constant criticism he faces, stating he is the most abused politician in Nigeria after Bola Tinubu. His remarks were made during a media chat where he discussed the ongoing reforms in revenue generation for the FCT.

Wike highlighted that despite the persistent attacks on his leadership, he remains focused on his responsibilities and will not be distracted by negative comments. He emphasized the importance of improving internal revenue generation (IGR) to fund infrastructure development projects across Abuja.

Wike mentioned several ongoing projects, including road construction and urban renewal efforts, and reiterated his administration's commitment to delivering visible results in a short period. He defended his policies and leadership style, asserting that the criticisms he receives are politically motivated and not based on factual assessments.
