Guimaraes Aims for Trophies and Legacy at Arsenal

Bruno Guimaraes, a new midfielder for Arsenal, has expressed his ambition to win trophies and establish a lasting legacy at the club following his transfer from Newcastle United. In his first interview as an Arsenal player, Guimaraes stated, “I want to win trophies, I want to make history,” emphasizing that he is at a pivotal point in his career.

He acknowledged the strength of Arsenal's midfield and its compatibility with his playing style. Guimaraes, who joined Newcastle in January 2022, mentioned that Declan Rice welcomed him to the club, humorously referencing their past competitive encounters.

He aims to contribute defensively and offensively, stating, “I can pass the ball, run a lot and play like a warrior.” Guimaraes, who has previously won trophies in Brazil and an Olympic gold medal, aspires to leave a mark at Arsenal, hoping future players will look up to his contributions. He also expressed admiration for former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva, whom he hopes to emulate.
