Imams Urge Prayer for Peace Amid Nigeria's Security Crisis

Dr. Yusuf Abdullahi Yusuf, the Assistant Secretary of the Association of Imams, expressed concerns over Nigeria's failing security system during a special prayer session for peace and unity at Jo Central Mosque.

The event, which included various religious leaders from the state, emphasized the need for imams to preach messages of peace and unity. Yusuf highlighted that the current security architecture is inadequate, leading to severe issues such as economic crises, ethnoreligious violence, banditry, and kidnapping.

He called for a collective effort in prayer, stating that Almighty Allah would respond to their prayers to change the nation's conditions. Yusuf urged imams to commit to weekly congregational prayers for peace and unity, emphasizing the importance of guiding citizens towards making good decisions, drawing lessons from the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
