Nigerian Imams Pray for Divine Help Amid Security Crisis

In response to the ongoing security crisis and economic difficulties in Nigeria, Imams gathered for a prayer session at the Islamic Centre in Damaturu, Yobe State. Dr.

Yusuf Abdullahi Yusuf, the Assistant General Secretary of the Yobe State Commission for Religious Affairs, acknowledged the dual challenges of insecurity and economic hardship facing the northern region and the nation at large. He highlighted that while human efforts have limitations, divine intervention remains a reliable path to safety, stability, and good governance.

Sheikh Hudu Mohammad, the Chief Imam of the Yobe Mosque, called for sustained prayer to guide leaders towards justice and to strengthen collaboration among Imams across the country. The session concluded with a nationwide prayer initiative, urging the government and its leaders to prioritize prayer for peace and unity in Nigeria.
