Immigration Officer Found Dead in Calabar Apartment

Wofai Benson Akpama, a 30-year-old officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service, was discovered dead in her apartment located at No. 34 Mbora Street, Etta Agbor, within Calabar municipality, Cross River State. The incident was reported to the police on Friday by Joi Benson, who identified herself as a source of information.

She described Akpama's death as sudden and unnatural. Upon police arrival, no visible marks of violence were found on the body, leading to the initial assessment of no foul play.

The corpse was subsequently evacuated to the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital for preservation and autopsy to confirm the cause of death. The police's public relations officer, ASP Sundai Eitokpah, stated that the case is under investigation, and as of last week, no suspects had been identified.
