Imo Community Fights Drug Abuse with NDLEA and Navy

On June 26, 2023, Nsokpo Dynam Association collaborated with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the Nigerian Navy to address drug abuse in Ogbaku, Imo State. The event featured a career talk for secondary school students, focusing on the theme "Say Yes to Life, Say No to Drugs." Mark Onyejiaka, President of Nsokpo Dynam Association, highlighted the necessity of guiding youth against drug abuse, which he stated destroys dreams and ruins futures.

NDLEA officials presented real-life examples and current data showing the serious dangers of drug abuse among Nigerian youth. A study conducted by Clement Umma in 2025 revealed that 34.2% of adolescents in Imo State reported alcohol consumption, while 23.5% used tramadol and 17.2% used cannabis.
