New Police Post Inaugurated in Imo State Oil Community

On Tuesday, the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Audu Garba Bosso, inaugurated a state-of-the-art police post in Assa Community, located in the Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area. This initiative aims to boost police presence and security in oil-producing areas.

The facility, constructed by AGPC Ltd as part of its corporate social responsibility, includes a modern administrative block, a detention facility, an interrogation room, police quarters, and advanced electronic devices to enhance operational efficiency. Bosso commended AGPC Ltd for their contribution and pledged to deploy adequate personnel to the new operational base.

He urged residents to support the police by providing credible information regarding suspicious activities. Community leaders, including the chairman of Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area, Marcel Amadioha, and traditional ruler Emmanuel Assor Odozi Obodo II, expressed gratitude for the facility and emphasized the importance of improved safety and cooperation with the police.
