Nzuko Ower, an apex socio-cultural body representing the people of Owerri, has condemned the recent violent incidents in Owerri, Imo State, where an Okada rider was killed and a female student was kidnapped. The group issued a press release signed by Hon.

Dan Ikpeazu, highlighting their concern over the ongoing attacks attributed to suspected Fulani herdsmen and bandits. The incidents occurred along the Amaez Ihiagwa road, which has become increasingly dangerous for commuters, including farmers, students, traders, and transporters.

The group expressed condolences to the families of the victims and called on security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue the kidnapped student. They emphasized the need for self-preservation among the citizens due to the escalating violence in the area, which they described as a "death trap" and a "theater of terror.".
