Ohanaeze Calls for Rescue of Oyo Kidnap Victims

Ohanaeze Ndigbo has demanded the swift rescue of 40 children and five teachers who were abducted by gun-wielding terrorists in the Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State. Okechukwu Nwabunik, the President of the Ohanaeze chapter, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident, describing it as a horrific assault on human education and peaceful coexistence.

The organization condemned the attack and emphasized the need for the federal and state governments to ensure the victims' safe return. They also expressed sympathy for the affected families and the school community in Oyo State during this difficult time.

Additionally, Ohanaeze condemned the reported murder of Michael Oyedokun, a mathematics teacher, whose death was confirmed by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde. The organization called for divine intervention and urged the Nigerian community to support the affected families through prayers and humanitarian assistance.

They also requested that police and military agencies deploy all available resources to rescue the abducted individuals and bring the perpetrators to justice.
