Akagburuonye Advocates Economic Independence for Imo People

Barr. Success Akagburuonye, a prominent figure in Imo State, stated that the people of Imo deserve economic independence, highlighting the importance of massive job creation and entrepreneurship to reduce poverty and improve livelihoods.

He spoke during the launch of the Imolit Foundation's empowerment training program, which aims to equip 200 participants with practical skills in various sectors, including paint product technology, makeup artistry, catering, and household chemical production. The event took place at the Assemblies of God Church auditorium in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, with an initial fund of several million naira allocated for the program.

Akagburuonye expressed his commitment to empowering citizens to become self-reliant rather than dependent on handouts. He also mentioned plans to attract development opportunities to Mbaise and Imo State, reiterating his vision for the region's economic growth and sustainability.

The training program is part of a broader strategy to address the harsh economic realities affecting residents of Imo State.
