Al-Makura Supports Tinubu's Revenue Sharing for 2027 Re-election

During a book launch in Abuja, former Plateau State Governor Al-Makura commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his initiatives in revenue sharing, asserting that these efforts will facilitate Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027. Al-Makura highlighted the need for Nigerians to recognize the administration's contributions, which he believes are not widely acknowledged.

He discussed the allocation of resources and the necessity for states and local governments to justify their performance based on revenue received from the federal government. Al-Makura projected that Nigeria could see significant infrastructure development in the coming years, estimating a five to six-fold increase in resource allocation.

He underscored the importance of transitioning from a consumption-based economy to a production-oriented one, while also addressing the challenges of revenue allocation. Al-Makura, who authored two books on resource allocation and economic development, emphasized the need for equitable resource distribution to enhance national productivity.
