Nigerian Emmanuel Afam Wanted in 3.3kg Drug Case

Emmanuel Afam, a 46-year-old Nigerian, has been declared wanted by the Kerala Excise Department due to his alleged involvement in the seizure of 3.3kg of MDMA near the Pantheerankavu toll plaza in Kozhikode, India. A Look Out Circular was issued against him as part of the investigation, which has already led to the arrest of nine individuals.

The investigation began when a suspect named Hiran, who was previously incarcerated in Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Central Prison, identified Afam as his supplier. Hiran had met Afam while in prison and referred to him as “Frank Maxin.” Investigators traced Afam's identity and discovered he used multiple mobile numbers and communication methods to evade detection.

An arrest warrant was issued by a Vadakara NDPS court, and the Bureau of Immigration is involved in the case. This incident is part of a broader issue of drug-related crimes involving Nigerians in India, with previous arrests linked to significant drug trafficking operations.
