The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed that the Super Eagles will return to defend their Unity Cup title against India, Jamaica, and Zimbabwe in London from May 26-30, 2026. The Super Eagles previously defeated Jamaica 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in the last edition of the tournament held at Brentford Community Stadium. This fourth edition of the Unity Cup will again feature nations with strong diaspora communities in the United Kingdom, with Nigeria and Jamaica expected to be among the leading contenders based on their rankings. Notably, India's participation marks a significant milestone, as it will be the first appearance of an Asian team in the Unity Cup in two decades, with their last notable visit in 2002 when they were captained by Bhaichung Bhutia. The tournament will follow a knockout format, with the winners advancing to the final and the losing teams contesting a third-place match. Nigeria aims to retain its title, while Jamaica seeks redemption after last year's final defeat.
