NCAA Appeals for Restraint Amid Aviation Unions' Strike

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has made an appeal to aviation unions to sheathe their swords and exercise restraint regarding the ongoing industrial action that has disrupted services for passengers and stakeholders. This appeal was articulated in a statement by NCAA's Director General, Capt. Chris Najomo, on Tuesday.

The NCAA noted that a meeting convened by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, last week to address the issues could not take place because airline operators did not attend. Najomo expressed confidence that the matter would be resolved upon Keyamo's return, as he is actively working towards a solution.

The NCAA reassured the public that flight safety remains uncompromised and that it will continue to fulfill its safety oversight responsibilities. The authority expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to passengers and appreciated their patience and understanding during this period.
