INEC Starts Recruitment for Ekiti Guber Election Staff

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has initiated the recruitment of ad-hoc staff for the upcoming Ekiti State governorship election, set for June 20, 2026. The announcement was made on Sunday via the commission's official page.

The application process began on April 25, 2026, and will conclude on May 18, 2026. Interested Nigerian applicants can apply for various roles, including supervisory positions, presiding officers, assistant presiding officers, and technical support staff.

Specific requirements include public civil servants within grade levels 10-14, staff members from educational institutions for registration area centers, and corps members or final-year students from Nigerian tertiary institutions with basic computer knowledge. Applicants must not be affiliated with any political party and must reside in the state where they wish to work.

The current governor, Biodun Oyebanji, is seeking re-election under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
