INEC Begins Second Phase of Voter Registration in Nigeria

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has started the second phase of voter registration in Nigeria after the first phase ended on December 10, 2025. A total of 9,891,801 Nigerians initiated online pre-registration during the first phase, with 2,572,054 registrations fully completed nationwide by November 28, 2025.

INEC is conducting statutory activities, including displaying registered voter claims and objections. However, voter registration activities remain suspended in Anambra State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) due to ongoing electoral activities.

New dates for the resumption in Anambra and FCT will be announced in due course.
