INEC Confirms Adegoke as ADC Candidate for Oyo Governorship

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke as the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State. This confirmation was made public when INEC posted Adegoke’s Form EC9 on its website early Saturday.

The announcement aligns with INEC's timetable for the 2027 general elections, which will include governorship elections in Oyo and 27 other states, alongside State Houses of Assembly elections across the 36 states. Adegoke emerged victorious in the ADC governorship primary election, receiving 16,051 votes, which resolved previous controversies regarding the party's authentic candidate.

His media team emphasized that Adegoke's candidacy was validated by the primary supervised by INEC. They urged other aspirants to respect the party's decision and INEC's position.

Adegoke is portrayed as a capable leader with the vision and experience necessary for good governance in Oyo State, and he has called for unity among party members as they prepare for the elections.
