APC's Halilu Envuluanza Wins Nasarawa North By-election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Halilu Envuluanza of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Nasarawa North Senatorial by-election held on Saturday. Prof. Aminu Ali announced the results on Sunday in Akwanga, revealing that Envuluanza received 45,362 votes, defeating his closest rival, Labaran Maku of the Labour Party (LP), who secured 12,931 votes.
Emmanuel David Ombugadu of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) finished third with 11,570 votes. The election was conducted to fill the vacancy in the Nasarawa North Senatorial District following the death of Senator Godiya Akwashiki.
The total number of registered voters in the district was 332,810, with 80,363 accredited voters. A total of 75,705 valid votes were recorded, alongside 927 rejected votes, bringing the total votes cast to 76,632.
Halilu Envuluanza was declared the winner after satisfying the legal requirements by scoring the highest number of valid votes.
