APC's Envu-Alanza Wins Nasarawa North By-Election

In the Nasarawa North senatorial by-election, Halilu Danladi Envu-Alanza of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Envu-Alanza received 45,362 votes, defeating Labour Party candidate and former Minister of Information Labaran Maku, who garnered 12,931 votes, and Emmanuel David Ombugadu of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), who received 11,570 votes.

The announcement was made by Professor Aminu Ali in Akwanga Local Government Area, Nasarawa State. The election was held to fill the seat left vacant by the late Senator Godiya Akwashiki.

Maku had previously alleged issues with the biometric voter authentication system and ballot irregularities at polling units.
