APC's Ikej Asogwa Wins Enugu North Senatorial By-Election
Ikej Asogwa of the All Progressives Congress emerged victorious in the Enugu North senatorial by-election held on June 20, 2025, with a total of 162,360 votes. He defeated his closest rival, Chief Nestor Ezem of the People's Democratic Party, who garnered 9,299 votes.

Other candidates included Chika Idoko Emmanuel of the African Democratic Party with 1,676 votes, Kingslei Anek of the Boot Party with 1,607 votes, and Ejik Simon Eze of the Labour Party with 1,027 votes.
