NDC Denied Access Code by INEC for Candidate Nomination

The Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) announced that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) denied their request for the access code required to upload the names of their candidates to the commission's nomination portal. This denial comes in the wake of a recent Federal High Court judgment that ordered the deregistration of the NDC.

Osa, the party's spokesman, stated that the NDC approached INEC to obtain the access code necessary for completing the online submission of their candidates but was informed that they could not provide it. The NDC is unable to fulfill the mandatory upload due to this refusal.

The party plans to take legal steps to suspend the enforcement of the court judgment and intends to return to INEC to file for a stay of execution on the court order.
