INEC Denies ADC Faction's Access to Nomination Portal

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has refuted claims made by a faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), led by Nafiu Bala, that they successfully accessed INEC's nomination portal to upload candidates for the upcoming 2027 general elections. INEC's Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Victoria Eta, stated that the claims were untrue, emphasizing that Bala's faction is not recognized by the commission.

She reviewed the official political party portal and confirmed that it does not support Bala's assertions. The official recognized by INEC is David Mark, the national chairman of ADC, while Rauf Aregbesola serves as the party's national secretary.

This denial comes amid ongoing leadership disputes within the ADC, with rival factions claiming control of the party as the 2027 elections approach.
