INEC Awards Certificates to AMAC Chairman and Winners

On Wednesday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially handed over certificates of return to Christoph Maikalangu, the re-elected chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), and other elected officials following the February 21 area council elections. Vice Chairman-elect Moham Nadabo was also present during the ceremony.

Aminu Idri, the FCT Resident Electoral Commissioner, described the electoral process as a successful and transparent exercise. Maikalangu expressed gratitude to God and the electorate, promising to sustain development initiatives, particularly in rural communities, where he plans to allocate 80 percent of project programs.

He addressed the need for infrastructure tailored to specific wards, urging political opponents to collaborate for the betterment of the council. Nadabo assured residents of an open-door policy and emphasized the administration's commitment to addressing local needs, including water and educational infrastructure.
