INEC Postpones Nationwide Voter Revalidation Exercise

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the postponement of the nationwide voter revalidation exercise, which was scheduled to take place on April 10, 2026. The decision was reached during a meeting of the commission's senior officials and the Resident Electoral Commission held on Friday, April 10, 2026.

INEC stated that the exercise aims to update the national voter register in preparation for the next general election cycle. The announcement was made public through a press statement signed by Mohan Kudu Haruna, the National Commission Chairman.
