INEC Awards Certificates to By-Election Winners in Five States

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presented certificates of return to the winners of recent by-elections held in Rivers, Enugu, Nasarawa, Ondo, and Kano states. The ceremony took place on Tuesday at the INEC headquarters in Abuja and was supervised by the commission's chairman, Joash Amupitan, and Mai Agbamuch Mbu.

During the event, Mbu congratulated the winners and reminded them of their responsibility to represent the interests of the people effectively. She disclosed that INEC was satisfied with the overall conduct of the elections, describing the process as largely peaceful and orderly.

The elections provided an opportunity for INEC to strengthen democracy and fill vacancies in various legislative offices. Among the recognized winners were Franci Dayo Faduyile from Ondo South Senatorial District, Olaka Nwogu Johnson from Rivers South East Senatorial District, Ikeja Asogwa from Enugu North Senatorial District, Danladi Envulu Anza from Nasarawa North Senatorial District, and Rabiu Shuaibu from Dawakin Kudu Warawa Federal Constituency seat in Kano State.
