INEC Rejects Rep Abejide's ADC Faction in Kogi State for Non-Compliance

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) rejected the newly constituted African Democratic Congress (ADC) state executive council in Kogi State, led by Hon. Leke Abejide.

INEC stated that the composition did not follow due process and was not recognized by the national secretariat in Abuja. The faction, including Mr.

Sunday Maiyaki and Mr. Kingsley Temitope Ogah, attempted to elect new members during a stakeholder meeting in Lokoja.

However, INEC's rejection letter, signed by Mr. Dahiru Halmisu Usman, the acting administrative secretary of Kogi State INEC, emphasized the need for compliance with standard procedures.

The faction was advised to follow proper channels for recognition.
