INEC Reprints Ballots for Osun Guber Poll to Include SDP

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has initiated the reprinting of ballot papers and result sheets for the Osun State Governorship Election, scheduled for August 15, 2026. This action is in compliance with a Federal High Court judgment delivered on July 22, 2026, in Suit No.

FHC/ABJ/CS/344/2026, which mandated INEC to recognize Dr. Francis Olugbenga Ajala as the SDP candidate.

Alongside Dr. Ajala, his running mate, Faseke Babajimi Oladipo, has also been added to the ballot, increasing the total number of political parties contesting the election to fifteen.

INEC stated that the reprinted ballot papers will arrive in Osun State on August 13, 2026, and will be distributed to Local Government Area offices on the same day. The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a free, fair, and credible election in Osun State.
