INEC Distributes Reprinted Ballot Papers for Osun Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the distribution of reprinted ballot papers and result sheets to agents of all political parties for the Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026. This distribution began on the night of August 12, 2026, at INEC's state office in Osogbo, covering all 30 Local Government Areas.

The reprinting was necessitated by a Federal High Court judgment delivered on July 22, 2026, which ordered the inclusion of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidates, Dr. Francis Olugbenga Ajala and his running mate, Faseke Babajimi Oladipo, on the ballot.

Babalola, stated that the materials were customized for each polling unit to ensure proper identification. The distribution process involves party agents signing result sheets before the materials are sent to their respective LGAs, allowing for tracking and accountability.
