HURIWA Accuses INEC of Undermining Democracy by Disobeying Court Order in Warri Electoral Delineation

The Human Rights Writers Association Nigeria (HURIWA) has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of undermining democracy by disobeying a court order to conduct a fresh delineation of electoral wards in Warri federal constituency. HURIWA condemned INEC's refusal to implement the Supreme Court order, describing it as a mockery of the rule of law and an assault on democracy.

The Supreme Court had mandated INEC to conduct a new delineation of wards and polling units in Warri South, Warri Warri, and Warri North local government areas to ensure credible elections in the constituency.
