INEC Urges Leaders to Mobilise Voters for  Registration in Sokoto

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Sokoto State is urging leaders, including traditional and religious opinion leaders, to mobilize citizens for the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise. The exercise aims to expand voter access and streamline the registration process across the country.

Eligible Nigerians, including new voters who have turned 18, those who wish to transfer their voting rights, and those who have lost or damaged their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), are encouraged to participate. INEC emphasized the importance of the exercise in strengthening the country's democratic system.

Meanwhile, the Samuel Ajose Foundation donated essential equipment to 57 Local Council Development Areas in Lagos State to support the voter registration drive and party membership ahead of the 2027 elections. The foundation's chairman highlighted the importance of voter registration and encouraged citizens to participate to ensure their voices are heard in the democratic process.

Multiple registrations are prohibited, and citizens are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to register and make their votes.
