Northern Governor Backs Tinubu for 2027 Elections

On Friday, Governor Lawal announced his administration's full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's reelection campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections. This announcement was made during a meeting at the Government House in Gusau, where he hosted Abdul'aziz Yari Abubakar, the Director-General of the Tinubu 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, along with key stakeholders.

Lawal emphasized the importance of rallying support around Yari, whom he described as a son of the region, to coordinate campaign efforts effectively. Yari acknowledged the significant responsibility of leading the campaign council and stated that their strategy would focus on engaging community leaders rather than relying solely on politicians for mobilization.

He confirmed plans to continue outreach to influential figures across the country in the lead-up to the presidential election.
