Governor Aliyu Urges Sokoto Residents to Expose Informants

During the flag-off of the sale of food items at subsidized rates in Bodinga Local Government Area on Wednesday, Governor Aliyu of Sokoto addressed the ongoing insecurity in the state, which has seen a high level of attacks from bandits. He reported recent police operations that neutralized bandits and recovered weapons.

Governor Aliyu stated that his administration has been actively supporting security agencies, citing the provision of 62 armoured vehicles, over 200 patrol vehicles, and 2,000 motorcycles to enhance their operations. He called on residents to assist security agencies by providing relevant information and exposing informants who aid bandits.

Additionally, he noted that state governments are receiving increased funding from the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which has allowed for the execution of developmental projects and the provision of palliatives. Aliyu urged the public to support Tinubu's candidacy in the 2027 presidential election and to pray for an end to insecurity.
