APC Demands Makinde's Resignation Over Insecurity Issues

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned Governor Seyi Makinde's handling of the state's security situation, describing his remarks as "the height of cluelessness." APC spokesman Olawal Sadar issued a statement on Sunday, rejecting Makinde's claims that the federal government is responsible for the state's security challenges. Sadar characterized the governor's comments as insincere and indicative of criminal ineptitude, asserting that Makinde should resign from office to allow his deputy to complete the remaining year of his tenure.

The APC expressed concerns that Makinde's leadership poses a grave danger to the growth and development of Nigerian society. Additionally, they referenced a speech made by Makinde at an event in Ibadan, where he acknowledged the increasing abductions and insecurity in the state, emphasizing the lack of control over security agencies.
