ADC Urges Tinubu to Expand Oyo Rescue Strategy Nationwide

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on President Bola Tinubu to implement the security strategy that successfully rescued abducted pupils and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State to address the ongoing kidnapping crisis affecting hundreds of Nigerians. In a statement from its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC praised the intelligence-driven operations that led to the rescue but questioned why similar strategies have not been applied to other victims still in captivity, particularly in Kwara and Borno States.

The ADC emphasized that the government must show the same determination in rescuing all victims, regardless of their location, and that the successful operation in Oyo should set a standard for national responses to kidnapping. The party urged the President to ensure that no family feels neglected based on the geographical location of their tragedy, advocating for a unified and effective response to all kidnapping incidents across Nigeria.
