ADC Urges Rescue of Kidnap Victims in Borno, Kwara

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), represented by Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, has demanded the urgent rescue of kidnap victims in Borno and Kwara states after the recent release of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State. The ADC commended the efforts of security agencies that facilitated the release of the Oyo victims, who had been held captive for 56 days.

However, the party warned that the success in Oyo should not overshadow the plight of other victims still in captivity, including pupils abducted in Borno in May and over 100 individuals kidnapped in Kaiama, Kwara State. The ADC criticized the government for its reactive approach to kidnapping and called for a comprehensive security strategy that focuses on intelligence gathering and inter-agency collaboration.

The party stressed that every kidnapping case deserves equal importance and that the government must ensure the safety of citizens to restore public confidence and foster economic development.
