Diaspora Group Urges Tinubu to Resolve Edo APC Crisis

The APC Diaspora Media Group, comprising 1,800 members across several countries, has written an open letter to President Bola Tinubu dated April 21, 2026, urging him to intervene in the leadership crisis within the Edo State chapter of the APC. The group expressed concern that internal tensions, particularly regarding comments made by Edo APC Chairman Jarret Teneb, could undermine the party's prospects for the 2027 elections.

Teneb's remarks on April 18, which labeled certain party members as "serial losers," were described as reckless and disrespectful, prompting backlash. The letter highlighted a pattern of inflammatory statements from Teneb, including alleged threats against youth and disrespect towards senior party figures.

The group called for his immediate suspension pending an investigation and emphasized the need for unity and discipline within the party to secure future electoral success.
