APC Diaspora Group Votes No Confidence in Edo Chairman

The APC Diaspora Media Group, Edo State chapter, has passed a no-confidence vote against the state chairman, Mr. Jarret Tenebe, due to worsening leadership crises within the party.

In an open letter dated April 21, 2026, addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Working Committee (NWC), the group, led by General Coordinator Hon. Taju Omoruyi, expressed profound concern over the unity and electoral prospects of the APC in Edo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

They claim a membership strength of 1,800 across several countries and highlight unresolved internal tensions that undermine the party's future electoral chances. The group alleges that Tenebe made disrespectful comments targeting former governorship candidate Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and other senior party figures, which they describe as inflammatory and threatening.

They demand Tenebe's immediate suspension pending an investigation into his conduct and leadership style, which they characterize as draconian and exclusionary, threatening the party's goodwill and trust.
