IPAC Criticizes Governor Lawal Over Zamfara Insecurity

The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) for Zamfara State has publicly criticized Governor Dauda Lawal regarding the deteriorating socio-economic and security situation in the state. This criticism was articulated during a press conference held on Tuesday at the IPAC headquarters in Gusau, led by Chairman Hon.

Sulaiman Salisu, Secretary Surajo Ruwanbore, and Publicity Secretary Kabiru Garba. IPAC expressed profound concern over escalating insecurity, which includes banditry, kidnappings, and attacks on communities.

They also noted the lack of agricultural support, stating that many farmers have not received essential inputs like fertilizers and improved seedlings, jeopardizing food production. Furthermore, IPAC raised concerns about the high costs associated with road construction and capital projects, calling for enhanced transparency and accountability in public spending.

Despite allocations from the Federation Account and support from development partners, residents continue to endure severe economic hardships, unemployment, and excessive taxation.
