IPAC Urges Action on Security and Development in Zamfara

The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Zamfara state chapter, has called for intensified efforts from both the Federal Government and the Zamfara State Government to tackle security, economic, and developmental challenges faced by residents. This appeal was made in a statement signed by Chairman Hon.

Suleiman Salisu Bungudu and Secretary Hon. Bashir Abdullahi, following an emergency meeting with political parties, community leaders, and stakeholders across the state’s 14 local government areas.

The council expressed concern over ongoing banditry and kidnapping incidents affecting communities and urged security agencies to maintain operations aimed at restoring peace. IPAC also called for timely support for farmers during the farming season, emphasizing agriculture's critical role in the state's economy.

The council advocated for transparency in infrastructure projects and equitable distribution of development initiatives to benefit both urban and rural areas. Additionally, IPAC highlighted the need for policies addressing unemployment and economic hardship, promoting investment, job creation, and youth empowerment.
