Israel Airstrike Kills Iranian Military Official Baba’iyan

On Saturday, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) executed an airstrike in Tehran, resulting in the death of Abu al-Qassem Baba’iyan, a senior military official and chief of staff of the Iranian military's Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters. Baba’iyan was responsible for coordinating military operations against Israel and was appointed to his position following the killing of Mohammad Shirazi, the previous military chief of staff for Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

The IDF described the strike as part of a broader campaign aimed at degrading the Iranian leadership's ability to advance military activities against Israel. This operation follows the earlier "Roar Lion" military operations, which targeted key figures within Iran's military structure, including the elimination of Ali Shadmani, Baba’iyan's predecessor.

The IDF's intelligence indicated that Baba’iyan played a crucial role in directing operations against Israel, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict.
