Israeli Air Strikes Kill 11 in Southern Lebanon Village

Israeli air strikes on the southern Lebanese village of Kfar Rumman killed at least 11 people, including two children, as reported by Lebanon's National News Agency. The most lethal strike occurred shortly after midnight, demolishing a three-storey residential building and resulting in nine fatalities.

A subsequent strike targeted a vehicle, killing two paramedics present at the scene. The Israeli military stated it was investigating these reports.

This attack followed a previous strike on Sunday that killed seven individuals in southern Lebanon, which the Israeli military claimed was in retaliation for drone attacks by the armed group Hezbollah against its troops in occupied areas of Lebanon. The recent escalation has raised alarms regarding the ceasefire brokered in June, which aimed to end hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah.

Civilian casualties have increased, prompting concerns about the ceasefire's sustainability, especially after additional strikes were reported in Tibnin and Mansouri.
