Israeli Airstrike Kills Family in Gaza Amid Ongoing Conflict

On Thursday, an Israeli airstrike in the northern Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of Muamen Ahmed, his wife, and their two daughters, aged 8 and 12, according to health officials. The Israeli military stated that the strike targeted a "military structure" and identified Ahmed as a military operative who had participated in combat against Israeli forces.

While the military did not acknowledge the presence of Ahmed's family, health officials and relatives confirmed their deaths. The airstrike occurred at 2 a.m. while the family was asleep, as reported by neighbor Zuhair Al-Haisami.

The ongoing conflict has seen over 1,300 Palestinians killed since a ceasefire took effect, with the Israeli military claiming four Israeli soldiers have died. The military conducted multiple strikes across Gaza, leading to significant displacement and damage to civilian homes.

Hamas officials denied Israeli allegations of targeting civilians, asserting that the strikes were aimed at homes and families.
