Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer but has successfully undergone treatment and is in good health. He made this disclosure via a personal statement on his official X account, explaining that he delayed the announcement due to ongoing geopolitical tensions and to prevent exploitation for propaganda purposes amid the conflict involving Israel.

Netanyahu stated that his condition was detected early during routine medical monitoring following a previous procedure for an enlarged prostate a year and a half ago. Doctors discovered a small abnormality measuring less than one centimeter during recent checks, which was confirmed to be an early-stage malignant tumor with no signs of spread.

Medical experts noted multiple treatment options available, which are common among men, but Netanyahu opted for swift medical intervention. This is not the first time he has undergone medical procedures; he had hernia surgery in March 2024 and recovered without complications.
