Momodu Predicts Atiku's Victory Over Tinubu in 2027

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, stated in an interview that the 2027 presidential election will be a challenging contest for Bola Tinubu. Momodu expressed confidence that Atiku Abubakar, the ADC's presidential candidate, will emerge victorious against Tinubu, who currently leads the Nigeria Democratic Congress.

He noted that Atiku's success will depend on securing significant support from the northern states, where he predicts Atiku will win major votes. Momodu referenced Nigeria's constitutional requirement for a candidate to secure the highest number of total votes and at least 25% of the votes in two-thirds of the states.

He remarked on the strategic positioning of political actors ahead of the election, highlighting that the northern electorate will play a crucial role in determining the outcome. Momodu also mentioned that the political landscape is evolving, with figures like Rabiu Kwankwaso potentially influencing the dynamics in the north.
