Kane's Premier League Return Desire Fades at Bayern Munich

Harry Kane, the England captain and forward for Bayern Munich, has revealed that his initial desire to return to the Premier League and surpass Alan Shearer’s all-time scoring record has faded since his transfer from Tottenham to Bayern in 2023. Kane, who scored 213 goals in the Premier League, is 47 goals shy of Shearer's record of 260.

He noted that his experience in Germany has altered his perspective, stating, “That itch isn’t there as much anymore.” Kane has had a remarkable tenure at Bayern, scoring 73 goals last season and receiving the Golden Shoe for being the Bundesliga’s top scorer. He is currently in the final 12 months of his four-year contract with Bayern and is expected to discuss a new deal.

Kane expressed his happiness in Munich, appreciating the different football culture and his settled family life, while also indicating that he is focused on Bayern for the time being, stating, “Never say never, but for now I am concentrating on Bayern Munich.”.
