Adeleke Claims Achievements Amid Election Violence Concerns

Ademola Adeleke, the current Governor of Osun State, asserts that he deserves a second term due to his transformative efforts in the state. He highlights that his administration has paid over N80 billion of inherited pension debt and resolved two-thirds of the half salary debt left by his predecessor, Gboyega Oyetola.

Adeleke emphasizes his commitment to workers' welfare, stating that pensioners and workers support his re-election bid. He lists his achievements, including the construction of 350 kilometers of roads, three flyover bridges, and the rehabilitation of over 200 primary healthcare centers.

However, he expresses discomfort with the political violence surrounding the election process, claiming that the APC has resorted to violence due to their loss of public confidence. Adeleke reports that seven members of his party have been killed and over 20 injured, accusing the police of aiding APC thugs.

He raises concerns about the police's partisan behavior ahead of the governorship election.
